Raptor Calm Balm
Raptor Calm Balm
One Red Moon as I was curled up in bed with my heating pad, my Partner asked me to describe what my menstrual cramps were like.
The first comparison that came into my head was that it felt like a hundred tiny raptors in my body clawing and eating away at my uterus, then setting out to wreak havoc wherever else they felt like it. Especially in my lower back. (...and occasionally my logic and emotions.)
This Raptor Calm Balm was specially formulated to ease and to calm the raptors inside us all, with a soothing and warming topical, and a scent found to be emotionally balancing.
Simply rub the balm directly onto your lower abdomen, lower back, and/or hips, massaging it in thoroughly. Having a friend or your partner help with application can help relax the muscles throughout the application process, allowing for more rapid absorption.
After 5-10 minutes, you can add a heating pad or other warming element to the mix for even greater therapeutic benefits.
The Raptor Calm Balm comes in a .75 oz twist up container for the easiest application which means you don’t even have to get any on your hands, if you don’t want to.
Raptor Calm Balm was formulated to insure the most soothing feel and scent possible, I started that with a base of Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, and Vitamin E. Beeswax has many nourishing properties, and is well known as a protectant for skin, sealing out dirt and its ilk. Coconut Oil on its own has wonderful restorative and moisturizing properties. At Kiwi’s Terpicals, I infuse it over low heat with dried Melissa officinalis leaves which have been shown to have a positive effect on moods, and promote overall relaxation.
Then I have two different Olive Oil infusions that add their special magic: Calendula and Roman Chamomile. Calendula has been used for centuries as a medicinal herb, it is known to increase circulation in the area where it is applied, and supports healthy skin. Roman Chamomile has been shown to have a calming effect on the skin and the nervous system, as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-itching properties. These infusions, together with other the other elements create a base that is applicable as a stick, but that melts into and nourishes your skin while trying to tame the raptors within.
My next step is to add my proprietary blend of Essential Oils, including Clary Sage, Ginger, Clove Bud, and Sweet Marjoram, to really calm those raptors down. Clary Sage is known to help blood flow and circulation, which helps to relax cramps and reduce inflammation. Ginger is warming, and has stimulating and anti-inflammatory properties. Clove Bud has a huge list of benefits, the main reason it was selected to be in this balm is for its blood stimulating properties. Sweet Marjoram is very calming and balancing, shown to help with muscle cramps and stress. Each of these different Essential Oils comes together with every other ingredient to form a balm that really does everything to calm the raptors inside, and provide mental relief with a relaxing scent.
Raptor Calm Balm was designed with care and crafted with love for you to celebrate and enjoy your beautiful body in the healthiest most natural way possible. It is free of artificial preservatives, artificial colors and dyes, synthetics and parabens, animal products and animal by-products.
